WHY WORK WITH US

We have created a supportive environment where a culture of teamwork is fostered. There is an emphasis on quality and going the extra mile for our staff and our students. Our focus is to work in partnership to deliver a world class education to pupils in Norfolk and Suffolk.
We have achieved a high level of success in our schools across Norfolk and Suffolk and this is down to the teams we have in place and our collaboration. We apply the same core values to our people - if they feel good about where they work and who they work for, they can thrive and continue to deliver the high-quality teaching or administrative support that we are renowned for.
We offer our staff a comprehensive a competitive package, great benefits, a commitment to their development and fantastic culture and values.
LOCAL GOVERNMENT PENSION SCHEME
The Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) is a valuable part of the pay and reward package for employees working the Trust. This offers a secure pension where your pension is calculated every year and added to your pension account. You also have the flexibility to pay more or less contributions which you would get tax relief on.
In the scheme you also have the option in the LGPS to pay half your normal contributions in return for half your normal pension. This is known as the 50/50 section of the scheme and is designed to help members stay in the scheme when times are financially tough. You also have the freedom to take your pension at the age of 55 if you wish.
Members of the LGPS also have lots of perks and flexibility with redundancy and retirement which varies dependant on the situation. You can find out more on the LGPS website - https://www.lgpsmember.org/toj/thinking-joining-key.php
INCREMENTAL PROGRESSION AND COST OF LIVING RISES
If you are appointed to a grade that is paid on the nationally negotiated salary scale, then every year you should expect your salary to go up by one spine point until you reach the top spine point for your grade. You will also have a cost of living increase when applied nationally by the Government.
As a Trust we recognise that employees can sometimes need support in both a personal and work capacity which is why we have partnered up with Validium. Validium are an Employee Assistance Programme that provides free counselling support, legal guidance, access to finance and debt specialists and health and wellbeing advice. This is accessible to all of our employees 24/7.
We are invested in harnessing and developing talent within and one of the ways we encourage development is through our unique teaching school which provides flexible, targeted and effective Professional Learning Programmes (PLPs) that meet the strategic priorities of the Trust and its members at other schools.
The Trust Central team and our partner schools highly value this programme as it enables teaching and support staff to tailor their Professional Learning Programmes to meet their Performance Management and career objectives.
